Case Study - Oxspring Primary School
The School
The existing school is a Victorian stone built school with the main building consisting of a classroom, a Hall, a small serving kitchen, a staff room and a reception area with adjacent toilets.

The Brief
The school required a larger Hall, a new full operational kitchen and refurbishments to the rest of the rooms.
The Design
The Design has incorporated all the external features of the existing building help match the extension with the original building. The internal layout created a Hall 3 times larger than the original, allowed fresh school meals to be prepared in the new kitchen, upgraded the old toilets and refurbished the classroom and staffroom.

The Finished Building after redevelopment
The building has been warmly accepted by the staff, pupils, parents and school governors and now provides a much better environment for the children and staff.
Case Study - Silkstone Common Junior & Infant School
The School
The existing school is a Victorian brick built school with the main building consisting of four classrooms, a marching hall, a serving kitchen, a staff room and two separate entrances for boys and girls, with adjacent toilets.

The Brief
The school required a new classroom, larger hall for sports/multi-use, a new full operational kitchen, and refurbishments and internal redesign of the remainder of the school.
The Design
The design incorporated some of the external features of the existing building, helping to match the lower level section of the extension with the original building, whilst giving a more modern look to the high level hall area. The internal layout created the new classroom with an adjacent toilet, a new hall which is considerably larger than the original. The new kitchen now allows fresh school meals to be prepared, and the refurbished larger classrooms have given the old school a more modern look internally. Incorporated into the design is an Air source heat pump run off Solar panels, making the new heating system far more Eco friendly and reducing the buildings carbon footprint.

The Finished Building
The building has been warmly accepted by the staff, pupils, parents and school governors, and now provides a much better environment for the children and staff.
